Initial Consultation
Day 1We start with a free consultation to understand your goals, timeline, location preference, and financial readiness. No pitch — just a real conversation about what it takes to open your pharmacy.
We Deliver
Location & Lease Review
Weeks 1–3We analyze potential locations for demographics, foot traffic, competition, and regulatory suitability. Once you identify a space, we review your lease terms and help you negotiate favorable conditions.
We Deliver
Licensing & Build-Out
Weeks 2–10We begin all licensing applications immediately and run them concurrently. Simultaneously, we coordinate the build-out with your contractor, submit floor plans to the state board, and schedule inspections.
We Deliver
System & Vendor Setup
Weeks 6–12Once your space is ready, we configure your entire pharmacy infrastructure. This includes BestRx, your POS system, servers, network, scanners, and all hardware. We also set up your wholesaler accounts and PSAO enrollment.
We Deliver
Pre-Opening & Compliance
Weeks 10–14Before opening, we conduct a full compliance review covering your policies, procedures, employee handbook, and Medicare compliance setup. We make sure everything is documented and ready for any audit.

Important Notice Regarding Timelines
The 12–14 week Full Turnkey timeline is an estimate based on our historical track record of having completed this process many times — it is not a guarantee. Timelines are subject to delays outside of our control, including but not limited to: state board scheduling and review periods, DEA registration processing and site inspection availability, township and local municipality zoning, permitting and inspection delays, PSAO and PBM credentialing approval timelines, and Medicare or Medicaid enrollment processing windows. Additionally, pharmacies located in high-volume, high-scrutiny regulatory areas — sometimes referred to as "heat zones" — including but not limited to Philadelphia, Trenton, Wilmington, Houston, Richmond, Jacksonville, and similar markets, are subject to longer review and approval periods and should plan accordingly. Pharmacy Setup Consulting makes no warranties or representations, express or implied, regarding the time required to complete any licensing, credentialing, inspection, or approval process administered by any government agency, state board, or third-party organization.
